Who wouldn't love a superbowl themed math party??
In January, when NFL teams were in the playoffs, 4th grade started a super cool unit to practice word problems! They worked to answer fast style questions with real Super Bowl numbers and statistics from real players. Every day students had the opportunity to move their own player 10 yards down the field by answering their question correctly! Then every Friday as a class they voted on who was gonna win the real life game that weekend. On Mondays and Tuesdays they would see who is advancing and move our bracket around. Last week they celebrated their final vote with their math superbowl party!
